Working well

Our work matters, but so do you.

We often come to this work because of a deep desire to help, often influenced by our own experiences. In fact that is encouraged in the world of coaching, personal development and space holding - to teach / share / speak from what you know.

This gives us a great energy and drive to begin.

Then we are taught how to do what we do, be a therapist, learn bodywork, develop energy work, teach yoga etc

Which gives us the skills we need.

But until we begin, it is not always clear what this work will ask of us.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE AN INSPIRING CAREER

We can have a long, healthy and sustainable relationship with this work and be witness to the powerful growth and life changing approaches that switched us onto this work in the first place.

When we work within our capacity, are aware of and work with our own unmet ‘stuff’, learn to open to support and regularly connect with others in our field.

We get to be the change we seek.

BUT IF WE DON’T TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES

But if we don’t tend to these things, we overcommit/overdo it, run out of steam, get compassion fatigue, struggle to figure out how to make a living from it, become uninspired, get distracted or leave the work to do something easier (often just as we are getting good).

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

This can be because we are working outside of our capacity, beyond what our nervous system range can hold, lead by unconscious patterns or in ways that are out of alignment for us. Often because we are working in a way that is disconnected from our power.I care deeply about this work and believe in its impact on the world. I want you to be a vibrant, creative, powerful human doing what you love and contributing to make the world a more loving place.

So my work supports you to

  • get clearer about what you came here to do
  • work through and with your stuff
  • explore and allow your emotions well
  • have confidence in your ability
  • trust yourself more deeply
  • stop doing everything yourself

  • stay connected to what you care about - even when you feel shit about what’s going on and want to quit
