Medicine of Medicine

The dose we all crave

How are you betwixt the eclipses, love?

It’s a wild time out there, I wonder if we can take a breath or two together in the offering and receiving of these words…

I want to strip back the layers of my Medicine Festival experience and get to the bones with you. I want us to speak about the essential medicine…

So…

I shared my somewhat raw reflections from Medicine Festival on my IG earlier this week - you can read that here.and follow me there if you don't already.

Each of the points I made

  • About our misaligned pace
  • About the strange places we put our eyes and ears
  • About the mismatch between inner + outer behaviour
  • About what we are even doing here…

..all pointed to one medicine…

The Medicine of Community

I watched several influencers reflect on their Medicine Festival experience, and behind all the spiritual language, linen outfits and ceremonial check lists was the same thing.

I witnessed it from within the Healing Village both with clients and fellow practitioners.

I even observed the hot and hard working cooks and the same thing came through.

Over and Over I saw the medicine of community.

The balm of being with.

I will say this over and over till I draw my very last breath,

Being in community is what we most long for and most need.

And I mean being in community with each other

And I mean being in community with nature.

The morning lake swims were the wisest teacher for me.Quietly with others, with water, with trees, breathing and being.

Now is the time to be with.

Switching my phone on after Medicine to discover the devastating news about Professor Arday shows me that we have to triple down on our commitment to love better.

Medicine gave me so much hope here but it is about what happens now the trips have worn off, the bare feet have been be-shoed and the affirmations have been forgotten

Now is the time to commune.

And not just in homogenous spaces where we all speak the same language and hold the same values, but out there in the world that cracks us open.

We are supposed to navigate this life, together. So my question for you is

Where is your circle?

How can you take one full step towards it now?

And

I am running a beautiful somatic offering on this evening called The Golden Web of Support.
Think 90 minutes of movement, meditation and the medicine of being in collective (with a lush soundtrack).
