Integration Is The Work

And the wellness industry often skips it

)) Integration is the work. For your clients and for you ((

Integration, practice-building + the thing the training industry quietly skips.

As practitioners, we understand something that takes most people years to grasp: a single powerful session doesn't change someone. The insight that arrives in the room needs time and the right conditions to move from moment into life.

We hold that understanding carefully for our clients.
We build it into how we work.
And then we finish a training, walk out with a new qualification, and expect ourselves to be immediately, fluently changed.
We treat our own development as if activation is the whole story.

Think about what integration actually requires for a client. It is not more input. It is space + a container that holds them while the new thing settles:

🌿 Repetition in ordinary conditions, not peak ones
🌿 The understanding that discomfort after a session is reorganisation, not regression
🌿 Permission to be mid-process without proof it's working
🌿 Someone holding the thread when they can't

Now apply that to building a practice after training.

Training is activation. It opens something. It introduces new frameworks
It surfaces shifts in how you understand the body, the NS, the relationship between practitioner + client.

Done well, it should feel significant. Orienting. Sometimes destabilising in the best way.

But the training container closes, + you move into the integration phase, which looks nothing like the activation. No teacher or cohort holding you. No structure. Just you, your clients + a practice that has to be built in the actual conditions of your life.

This is where most practitioners silently struggle. And where the industry offers the least support because integration does not sell the way activation does.

Another training / modality sells.
The slow, less visible work of letting what you already know move deeper into how you actually practice?
There is no sexy caption for that.

"Training teaches you the map. The practice you build afterwards teaches you the territory."

The territory

🌿 The client who does not respond the way the training suggested
🌿 The session that goes somewhere unexpected and you have to find your own ground
🌿 The gradual realisation that competence + certification are not the same thing
🌿 The gap between them, closed not by more learning but by time, reflection + right conditions

The same conditions you  create for a client.

You don't rush that process for them, you understand change is slow, that being held through the in-between is the work. Are you extending the same understanding to yourself?

The Treehouse is for practitioners who want to be held in the integration of their development.

MY TEACHERS / GUIDES

I am fiercely supported and inspired by a network of teachers, mentors, peers and friends. I wholeheartedly understand that part of my work is to share what I learn from them. Here are the ones who currently inspire, support and teach me, speak in ways that makes me stop and listen and generally shine a light in dark corners.
